The Chelan County PUD operates two hydroelectric dams on the Columbia River and one hydroelectric dam on the Chelan River.  This abundant green power is available at some of the lowest rates in the nation.

Fiber Connectivity

The Chelan County PUD has built a fiber optic communications system throughout much of Chelan County, allowing for cost effective digital communications worldwide.

Transportation

Air

Pangborn Memorial Airport offers daily commercial passenger service, general aviation and cargo flights to fill the region’s air service needs. Daily passenger air service to SeaTac from Pangborn Memorial Airport is provided by Alaska Air/Horizon Air, and plans for expanded service to the San Francisco Bay area is anticipated in 2018. Highways

Easily move products in and out of Chelan County along Highway 2 that connects west to Seattle and east to Spokane. Highway 97 connects north to Canada and south to Interstate 90 and continuing to central Oregon. Highway 28 travels southeast towards Interstate 90 to travel east. 

Rail

BNSF rail lines follow Highway 2 east and west while Cascade & Columbia River Railroad (CSCD) lines follow Highway 97 from Wenatchee north to the Canadian Border.
